I love books!
This is me reading as a teenager!
...and I love to write! I've wanted to be an author since I was little. When I was 15, my short story won a newspaper contest, and that was the beginning. I kept reading and reading and writing and writing.
I also love pie!
I grew up making pies with my sister, and now I make them with my daughters. We like to mix things up, just like June! We add blackberries and peaches and apples together.
Spending time by the water — sailing, kayaking or swimming — is a big part of my life. I don't live in Vermont any more (that's the pacific ocean behind me in the picture) but I go to Vermont every summer. Being in the water makes me feel peaceful and that everything is right in the world.
